Five Faves – Idaho Hot Springs

Love is in the Fresh Air this February. Check out our five favorite hot springs in Southern Idaho. Did your favorite make the list?

1. KIRKHAM HOT SPRINGS

Kirkham Hot Springs is located along the Payette River and probably one of the most well known locations for an all natural soak in the state. There is a reason that people flock there – it is a stunning atmosphere and there is usually plenty of room to find a little privacy.

2. TRAIL CREEK

This is another must-know. Trail Creek is near Cascade, tucked back in the mountains. The easy access from parking (no hike required) makes this a perfect afternoon drive by.

3. BURGDORF HOT SPRINGS

Burgdorf is an outstanding Idaho destination located just north of McCall. In the summer you can access the “Rustic Resort” via Warren Wagon Road, however in the winter it takes snowmobiles to get there. It has just reopened after being closed since March of 2020 due to covid. Burgdorf does require a reservation – you can visit their site to learn more.

4. FRENCHMAN’S BEND

Not far up Warm Springs Road in SunValley you will find a collection of small, all natural springs immediately off the road by the river. It is a steep, bouldery step down to a magical, private paradise. The rivers, trees, and colorful ambiance make this a hot spot – if you can find it čśë

5. MIRACLE HOT SPRINGS

Miracle Hot Springs boasts a central pool and hot tub, private pools, and even has private yurt-style overnight accomodations. Located off of highway 30 in Hagerman less than 2 hours from Boise, this is a great day or overnight trip. The natural minerals from the springs will leave your skin soft and fresh for days. Check out their site to make a reservation.
