Paint The Town

This past month, Silvercreek participated in the annual Paint The Town event with Neighbor Works. Paint The Town volunteers have painted the homes of elderly, disabled or veteran community members for the last 39 years! In one month of 2020 alone, Neighbor Works painted 10 homes with the help of 128 volunteers and raised over $2,000 for their foundation, Buy a Bucket. The Silvercreek team of staff, agents, and volunteers was able to help the married couple, Charlotte and Larry, by painting their once yellow home to an outstanding gray toned finish. Learn more about how to get involved with Paint The Town here.

Rake Up Boise

Neighbor Works also hosts a philanthropy event every fall that allows volunteer teams of six or more to rake the yard for disabled or senior neighbors! Information for the 2021 season is coming out soon, but in the meantime, click here to find out more about how to donate or get involved with the Rake Up Boise program.

Education and Counseling

Homebuyer Education Courses

Neighbor Works offers 8 different courses in topics such as budget/credit, loan options, shopping for a home with a REALTOR®, inspection, insurance, title/escrow, closing and post-purchase responsibilities, and more. Pre-purchase Counseling

For free and individual counseling sessions, Neighbor Works provides sessions taught by their HUD-certified housing counselors!
